It would appear that Geico Insurance Company has added an advertising partner to their hugely successful Geico Gecko and Cave Man Characters. The mysterious stack of dollar bills crowned with a set of big eyes. For the record while the stack of bills was mildly amusing at first but it certainly does not come close to rivaling the Gecko.

Car Insurance Companies are fiercely competitive with one another. Progressive Insurance has their dingy sales lady in the make believe insurance center. We have always had an opportunity to be in good hands with Allstate and like a good neighbor State Farm has always been there (unless of course you own a home in Florida insured by State Farm). However the Gecko is in a league of its own for originality, cleverness and marketability. The little lizard seemingly has a personality, charisma and believability.

I have been a State Farm car insurance policy owner for 35 years and this gecko has me thinking about giving Geico a call. That’s what advertising is supposed to do and the Gecko wins the battle of car insurance

The O.J. Simpson Sentencing took place today and Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment soon after he made a rambling, five-minute plea for leniency, choking back tears as he told her: “I didn’t want to steal anything from anyone. … I’m sorry, sorry.”

So O.J. beat a multiple murder charge and gets jail time for robbery, What a country we live in . Ron Goldman is said to be pleased with the O.J. Simpson Sentencing but that is going to bring his boy back. I cannot how he must have to get through each day.

For O.J. barring some kind of reversal of the O.J. Simpson Sentencing he will liely die in jail . At 61 years old nine years in prison is nto going to make lfe easy.

I suppose once you get to a place in your life when you realize you have loved longer than you are going to live, a movie like The Family Man reaches a place in your heart few movies do. I don’t know why , but I love watching this movie and usually spend the entire time reminiscing on what could have been , what never was or what things might have been like. Tea Leoni and Nicholas Cage are just remarkable in this Its a Wonderful Life look a like. it reminds me that I am at peace with a past I regret. It also makes me wish I has a mulligan on life,  things would be different or maybe they wouldn’t , but I love to think about the possibilities and love the Family Man

You know sometimes our government baffles us all. The truth is most of time it does. In a country where many are in debt beyond what they can ever repay, this golden nugget wisdom surfaces.  “The government has introduced a pair of new programs that will provide $800 billion to help unfreeze the market for consumer debt, which Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson calls vital to supporting the economy.
Paulson says key markets for consumer debt such as credit cards, auto loans and student loans essentially came to a halt in October. He says the new programs are aimed to get lending back to more normal levels. Exactly what is normal lending. Is It Time To Refinance Your Home Mortgage

So this is not misunderstood, we are in debt, as individuals and as a country so we borrow more money and get in more debt?  First off how many have credit scores worthy of obtaining a loan in the first place? Is this not another band aid fix?  It sure seems so  to this observer.

Tiger Woods and General Motors have ended their affiliation a year ahead of their agreement. General Motors in a veiled attempt to look like they are doing something about their financial plight also announced, that CEO Rick Wagoner wont be taking a private jet to Washington to plead with the government for bailout money. What a complete crock. Tiger Woods isn’t going to miss the money can we agree to that?

I have a better idea, lets fire Wagoner. He is a proven failure at running an auto conglomerate. He makes millions every year to be a failure. How many of us could get away with that at our jobs?

Here we go again and again. The CitGroup bailout is all but approved and another irresponsible private company is getting relief form the government. So the question I have is when does this stop. The big three automakers are going to get some type of bailout, and now the Citigroup bailout.

Citigroup is in this mess for making risky loans and securities backed by commercial and residential mortgages. I had a mortgage foreclosed on last Tuesday, Florida Bank Foreclosures happen everyday and people need foreclosure help , where were you then Uncle Sam?  It is a very simple principle, you cannot continue to borrow money after borrowing money, at some point someone needs to be paid. Unless of course you a big business. Consumers must face the consequences of unpaid bills, bi business just ask for a handout. What is wrong with this picture?

The fix for this thing has to be to let it break and not prop it up with Citgroup bailout or a big three bailout. Otherwise big companies just keep doing what they have always done.

Unemployment hit a 4-year high at 6.5 % in October, most experts are calling for a jobless rate of 8 % in the coming months. What that means is many Americans are going to be changing careers and obviously employers. So what career field in the most likely to fill that need? Career Explorer list the ten hottest careers for 2009. 7 of those are in the medical field. Which Medical careers are in demand? Just about any type of support staff, from medical assistants, to medical records personnel, and everything in between. is in demand. Why?

People get sick in any economy and the health care industry is always open for individuals that are dedicated and are willing to be trained. Oddly Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts are listed as the number one available position followed closely by Physicians assistants. The fact is many people will be forced to choose a new career. Think about auto workers. Where will they go?

Seems bankruptcy happens to anybody. Country singer Lorrie Morgan has filed for bankruptcy for primarily business related debts, according to a court filing. The truth is its hard for me to feel sorry for Lorrie Morgan as she lists assets of somewhere between $500,000.00 and a million. The 49-year-old singer, who lives in the Nashville suburb of Lebanon, released a statement calling the bankruptcy “an unfortunate yet necessary part of the restructuring of my business.” Now how would like to be a creditor knowing she is going to hang on to a million smackers. That is unfortunately the cost of bankruptcy in this country, however bankruptcy to me is can’t pay the rent or buy food. Just my thoughts . Morgan lists her creditors as the Internal Revenue Service, banks, lawyers and others. Ms.. Lorrie Morgan, the IRS does not discharge back taxes nor do bankruptcy courts

The O.J. Simpson Verdict is and was read tonight, Oj Simpson was found  guilty by a jury in Las Vegas A somber Simpson released a heavy sigh as the charges were read Friday in Clark County District Court. He was immediately taken into custody. Funny how things workout. Simpson faces 5 years to life. The verdict was read 13 years to the day after being acquitted of a double murder of his wife Nicole and her freind Ron Goldman . 13 is not a lucky mnumber for O.J. as the jury reminded him in the O. J. Simpson Verdict.

Carrie Underwood calls Tony Romo, well according to Jessica Simpson she did not and doesn’t. Whatever the girls want to do is fine, but how would you like to be Tony Romo and have these two blond beauties scrapping over your affections. Imagine Romo getting into a fight with Jessica Simpson, No problem he has Carrie Underwood on the bench  and ready to play . Yes life’s good for Tony Romo , Carrie Underwood wants him Jessica Simpson has him and Romo just sits back and revels in the glory of it all. No wonder he is having a hard picking between Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson, wouldn’t you? I mean assuming you are into women
