Plaxico Burress accepted a deal from New York prosecutors and pleaded guilty to a felony weapons charge. Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself in a New York nightclub. Under the terms of the agreement Plaxico will serve two years in prison with a chance to get out in 20 months with good behavior. I have never been a fan of Burress nor will I ever be, however, this sentence to be imposed in late September seems a little harsh to me. There was no criminal intent proven nor was he accused of criminal intent. It was a mistake to carry the gun. We all understand that however. Two years for accidentally shooting yourself in the leg might be a little overboard. Plaxico Burress made a mistake in that New York nightclub and soon he will begin to pay his debt in earnest. That’s a shame.I guess there are those who will say he got what he deserved, I’ll pass on that one.

The O.J. Simpson Sentencing took place today and Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment soon after he made a rambling, five-minute plea for leniency, choking back tears as he told her: “I didn’t want to steal anything from anyone. … I’m sorry, sorry.”

So O.J. beat a multiple murder charge and gets jail time for robbery, What a country we live in . Ron Goldman is said to be pleased with the O.J. Simpson Sentencing but that is going to bring his boy back. I cannot how he must have to get through each day.

For O.J. barring some kind of reversal of the O.J. Simpson Sentencing he will liely die in jail . At 61 years old nine years in prison is nto going to make lfe easy.

I suppose once you get to a place in your life when you realize you have loved longer than you are going to live, a movie like The Family Man reaches a place in your heart few movies do. I don’t know why , but I love watching this movie and usually spend the entire time reminiscing on what could have been , what never was or what things might have been like. Tea Leoni and Nicholas Cage are just remarkable in this Its a Wonderful Life look a like. it reminds me that I am at peace with a past I regret. It also makes me wish I has a mulligan on life,  things would be different or maybe they wouldn’t , but I love to think about the possibilities and love the Family Man

Seems bankruptcy happens to anybody. Country singer Lorrie Morgan has filed for bankruptcy for primarily business related debts, according to a court filing. The truth is its hard for me to feel sorry for Lorrie Morgan as she lists assets of somewhere between $500,000.00 and a million. The 49-year-old singer, who lives in the Nashville suburb of Lebanon, released a statement calling the bankruptcy “an unfortunate yet necessary part of the restructuring of my business.” Now how would like to be a creditor knowing she is going to hang on to a million smackers. That is unfortunately the cost of bankruptcy in this country, however bankruptcy to me is can’t pay the rent or buy food. Just my thoughts . Morgan lists her creditors as the Internal Revenue Service, banks, lawyers and others. Ms.. Lorrie Morgan, the IRS does not discharge back taxes nor do bankruptcy courts

The O.J. Simpson Verdict is and was read tonight, Oj Simpson was found  guilty by a jury in Las Vegas A somber Simpson released a heavy sigh as the charges were read Friday in Clark County District Court. He was immediately taken into custody. Funny how things workout. Simpson faces 5 years to life. The verdict was read 13 years to the day after being acquitted of a double murder of his wife Nicole and her freind Ron Goldman . 13 is not a lucky mnumber for O.J. as the jury reminded him in the O. J. Simpson Verdict.

Carrie Underwood calls Tony Romo, well according to Jessica Simpson she did not and doesn’t. Whatever the girls want to do is fine, but how would you like to be Tony Romo and have these two blond beauties scrapping over your affections. Imagine Romo getting into a fight with Jessica Simpson, No problem he has Carrie Underwood on the bench  and ready to play . Yes life’s good for Tony Romo , Carrie Underwood wants him Jessica Simpson has him and Romo just sits back and revels in the glory of it all. Shawn Johnson won a gold medal in balance beam today in Bejing. It is about dam time. I think through no fault of her own she has been a victim of partial judging. Johnson, who had been the defending all-around world champion, had been unable to find much favor with the Olympic judges, taking silver in team, all-around and floor exercise competition. The little gal is a supreme athlete and Shawn Johnson can now be mentioned with the elite gymnasts from the past. China entered 12 13 and 14 year old girls at best and everyone just seemed to turn their heads. That makes a gold medal for Shawn Johnson in balance beam even sweeter. Hulk Hogan aka Terry Bollea will give Linda Bollea 40 K a month on alimony according to an agreement reached in a Florida Divorce court today In the meantime, Linda Bollea gets the use of the house on Willadel Drive and Terry Bollea ( Hulk Hogan ) gets to use the couple’s house on Eldorado Avenue in Clearwater . The agreement actually saved the Hulkster 3.4 million on not having to secure a Las Vegas condo for his wife.

Seems now the fight will continue over how much money the couple actually have, In the second day of divorce proceedings, a forensic accountant for Linda Bollea started ticking off the money that Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, has in his accounts. From the world of bizarre lawsuits, Victoria Osteen is being sued for an outburst on a Continental Airlines flight on 2005. Sharon Brown, who is asking for 10 percent of Osteen’s net worth because of the Dec. 19, 2005 dispute while the plane was boarding in Houston, will testify that Osteen grabbed her by the shoulders, pushed her into a restroom door and elbowed her in the chest.
This is where it gets bizarre, Sharon Brown claims that the incident has caused hemorrhoids. What! Yeah lets assume that Victoria Osteen did slam her up against the wall, how does that cause hemorrhoids Well Brown has an answer for that, Brown contends that she lost her religious faith and suffers from hemorrhoids because of the anxiety and trauma resulting from the incident. Not much faith there to begin with Id say and the anxiety she may be suffering is from a completely frivolous lawsuit and a veiled attempt at extortion. Victoria Osteen looks to be on the wrong here, but 10% of her net worth is a bit extreme for punitive damages. Lawyers argued that Victoria Osteen was out of control. Ditto for Sharon Brown. Brett Favre is reportedly talking with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers about joining the team . A trade would have to be worked out but apparently Buccaneers General Manger Bruce Allen is ironing out details on that issue. The sideshow that has become the Brett Favre story continues and it seems all but certain, now he wont be playing in Green Bay. I have question that still bothers me since I heard about it, How does Brett Favre turn down 20 –25 million to stay retired? That just doesn’t seem like good economic sense no matter how much you love the game .If you think this has been a circus, wait until Favre tells Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Jon Gruden to screw off , during , I would say the first week of practicing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
