Say it aint so, Lisa Garza is rumored to have won the Next Food Network Star competition. rumors or fact ? The next Food network Star finale airs tonight and it may suck. Dallas’ own restaurant owner Lisa Garza is one challenge away from becoming the Food Network’s next big star.
Garza, 32, is the co-owner and special event planner of Suze Restaurant & Catering, located on Northwest Highway in Texas. She also designs and sells chic kitchen aprons.
I watch this show faithfully and can tell you she is not my favorite. I’m pulling for Aaron McCargo, Jr. he has a personality that doesn’t include crying every episode. I am worn out by her cry baby approach to the Next Food network Star Competition.
Garza and opponents Adam Gertler and Aaron McCargo, Jr. battle it out tonight. I hope the rumors of Lisa Garza winning turn out to be wrong. tell me what you think
Update: It Wasn’t So Congrats To Aaron McCargo

The fact that you didn’t mention the third finalist (Adam) at all suggests maybe you didn’t actually watch this show to the degree that you’re implying. In any case, if Lisa winning was the rumor you heard, you clearly need to latch on to a much better grapevine. The Food Network’s inept website spoiled its own ending - that Aaron won - several days ago by putting up Lisa and Adam’s exit interviews and Aaron’s victory moment. Since then the FN has been the butt of many justifiable digs. Spoiling your own finale? Priceless! Personally, I was rooting for Lisa. I think she’s fun and a sweetheard beneath the facade, and frankly I can’t take Aaron’s butchering of the English language. “Plantains is…” and Coke the Van?
Oops. I missed your Adam mention in the last paragraph. My apologies for getting that bit wrong.
Actually I didnt know of the leak until later . I thought Adam was actually the best of the night but Aaron clearly was the best all season. As for his dialect I grew up in the South , he sounds normal to me
I CANNOT believe that Aaron McCargo won the next Food Network star. I am not able to understand his way of speaking. The man isn’t able to put two words together without sounding like he’s got marbles in his mouth.
I haven’t watched Food Network since seeing that show, and I won’t watch it until I’ve heard that Lisa Garza has been given her own program.
I have no problem understanding Aaron or Wolfgang or anyone that does not talk perfect! It use to really upset me people being so critical but then a friend of Aarons stated that constructive criticism is ok such as I can’t understand him, he needs to talk clearer is ok, but to make comments such as sounding like he has marbles in his mouth is vicious. I agree! I think for someone to carry their opinion to that degree is just trying to find fault instead of offering constructive criticism! If you don’t like him just don’t watch his show. There is many to choose from to watch. As far as Lisa, I agree with those that won’t judge her dress, hairstyles, shoes, things like that but her rudeness to the other contestants was a complete turn off to many people including me! The behind the scenes video showed all the constestants being for Aaron and Adam except one that said she wanted Lisa to win BECAUSE she had a bet going that Lisa would win. The producer said on the final episode that he didn’t want Lisa coming off as a smarty pants but she had already done that. I did not like the way she treated the Brownie, either! Kids can eat healthy without having to be sophisticated. When Bobby was asked who he would hire at his home to cook, Bobby said he would hire Lisa to be bossy. Lisa went around reprimending others for drinking sodas. I eat healthier than most of my friends do but unless they ask me I don’t go around reprimending them!
Those are the kinds of reasons why I would had never watched Lisa and I believe many feel the same way I do since Aaron clearly won the Foodnetwork poll out of the three remaining contestants as he had a big lead over Lisa and poor Adam was way down the list. I like Adam but he should had been gone after he served raw food. I hope no one got sick from him serving raw food twice.
