A yearbook prank has taken on a life of it own in California. It looks like some people are pissed and calls of racism are raising tensions. Folks it’s a yearbook prank
A yearbook staff member at Charter Oak High School caption nine members of the group with such names as “Laquan White” and “Crisphy Nanos.”
“I thought it was stupid. They gave us all ghetto names,” said student Star Esparza.
Esparza, who was correctly named in her senior photo, was captioned in the Black Student Union photo as “D’angelo Green.”
Now for my take. Do these kids actually use these names? If so what the problem? I guess it’s ok , for the them to use the names themselves but fi someone from another race uses the name its racism? Bullshit. It is what it is. We make everything racism in the society. Get over it people. Students of the yearbook prank are supposed to get apologies. Apologies for calling them a name they were given and will use every day after the apology. The Yearbook prank was just that a yearbook prank. One more thing why do they have a Black Student Union , why cant it just be a Student Union? Hmm, That sounds like racism to me.
