Thousands of people are expected to gather at the Tampa Convention Center as Red Bull Flugtag  comes to the area for the first time.  It’s Red Bull’s annual competition where teams see whose homemade human-powered flying machine can fly the farthest.You seen the blooper films right, They push off a home made airplane looking contraption off a ramp and into the water. Its more an excuse for a weekend beer drinking exhibition, that is in a nutshell The Red Bull Flugtag competition

36 teams, each consisting of four pushers and one pilot, will launch human-powered aircraft from a 30-foot-tall ramp at water’s edge behind the Tampa Convention Center. The winning team gets real lessons in flight training The is Tampas first Redbull Flugtag Competition .

Sounds like fun to watch but having lived in Tampa for most of my life , I wouldn’t want anyting to do with the water behind the Tampa Convention Center . No sir not me. Apparently Flutag means flight in German . .In Tampa, Flugtag means party and downtown Tampa Convention Center the area will be rockin.
