3/15/72 TELL (II) NAME tell -- get file pointer SYNOPSIS (file descriptor in r0) sys tell; offset; ptrname / tell = 20. (value retruned in r0) DESCRIPTION The file descriptor refers to an open file. The value returned in r0 is one of: if ptrname is 0, the value returned is offset; if ptrname is 1, the value is the current pointer plus offset; if ptrname is 2, the value returned is the number of bytes in the file plus offset.
