NAME            exit  --  terminate process



SYNOPSIS        sys     exit    / exit = 1



DESCRIPTION     exit is the normal means of terminating a pro-

                cess.  All files are closed and the parent pro-

                cess is notified if it is executing a wait.



                This call can never return.
